  • How do I sign up?

    You can enroll over the phone during our business hours or you can visit http://crossfitava.wodify.com/OnlineSalesPortal/Home.aspx to sign up.

  • Are there classes for beginners?

    We are currently offering a fundamentals course for just $40. It is a two-week program where highly trained professional athletes will condition you starting with basic steps for beginners.
  • I want to start joining competitions, how do I sign up for them?

    At Crossfit AVA, we train our competitors to be the toughest athletes.
  • Whats the age limit for joining?

    One of the best aspects of CrossFit is that it is accessible to people of any age. A big part of CrossFits mission is to help people maintain functional capacity well into their later years of life.
  • Do you currently have any discount memberships?

    If you are unsure about joining as a full-time member, check out our fundamentals program. In our fundamentals program, you can get training as a beginner to help condition you for the program for just $40 for the first two weeks.
  • Where can I see more media on the CrossFit Games?

    It is recommended that CrossFitters do a workout session 3 days a week to achieve the best results. However, it is best to listen to your body or to ask your trainer for professional tips to make sure you’re following the best routine.
  • What if I can do handstand pushups?

    You wont be walking on your hands right away if you are a beginner. But there are great ways to practice your form before attempting this exercise. Support as much of your body as you can while doing a handstand pushup. You can start by placing your legs on a chair, bench, or ball and placing your hands on the floor until you are able to put enough weight on your arms without falling. You can do partial reps, building up to full range of motion; for example, stack a few books up under your head and lower to the books.
  • What if I can do pull-ups?

    Pull ups also take some time and conditioning to get used to as it requires building upper body strength. You can start by doing ring rows, pull downs or we can even assist you right here in our gym!

  • How long do workouts tend to be?

    Workout sessions include warm-ups, stretches, movements depending on the WOD, and a cool down period. All of these activities usually take about a 1 hour at the gym.
